Creative Direction + Branding
Within forty miles of New York City stands The Manor, a grand turn-of-the-century estate still rich in the details commissioned by mining tycoon and investor, William Boyce Thompson. In 1912, Thompson hired Carrère and Hastings to design his weekend riverside home – alongside those of his fellow financiers — in the Renaissance Revival style. He named it Alder Manor, after his hometown of Alder Gulch, Montana. The Manor still grandly stands on its stately site, a classic masterpiece.
